Stress and Weight Gain

Stress is a way of life in the 21st century. For some people stress is often tied to an increase in appetite. It is a time of setting priorities and getting through the rough times. Feelings of anxiety and depression are contributing to a need for comfort and to balance the immediate crisis the go to remedy – food.

During these periods weight gain seems to be the least of the worries and large amounts of foods – especially the wrong kind – are the tools to cope.

When feelings of anger, frustration and inadequacy are experienced it is important to have nutritious and satisfying snacks in ready to eat portions available.

Once the storm passes and the dust settles you will be glad that it didn’t get the best of you and you were able to manage without any major setbacks.
